In keeping with the mission of our organization to reduce the amount of waste produced by our community, Lexington Zero Waste Collaborative and LexCAN, in partnership with LPS Green Teams, maintains a lending library of durable, reusable tableware items for use by residents and local event organizers. 

This is a free service to the community. The LexShareWare library is staffed by a small number of volunteers handling a high volume of items for numerous events. As the borrower, you are expected to wash and dry all items before returning them in their containers and to notify us of any breakage or lost or malfunctioning items.

We prefer to not purchase new items for the library, practicing our credo that reuse is better in creating less waste. In fact, many of our acquisitions have come from donations.  Please contact us if you have any items you would like to donate.

Finally, we’d like to thank Brookhaven for providing a closet space for storing items for the community to share.
